July 8, 2021 - BIC is proud to announce that L'Institut du Capitalisme Responsable (The Institute of Responsible Capitalism) has awarded BIC the special prize for Resilience and Adaptability for the company’s 2021 Annual General Meeting presentation. The General Meeting and Gender Balance Awards were established in 2012 to recognize French listed companies’ shareholder engagement and dialogue during their annual meetings.

The judging panel, comprised of institutional investors, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) specialists, proxy advisors, governance bodies and large companies, recognized BIC for how it presented its:

• Horizon Plan, a comprehensive strategy aimed at driving long-term sustainable growth and profitability across our business.  
• New sustainability commitments to transform how the company uses plastic in its products and packaging by 2025. 
• Focus on adapting to the COVID-19 pandemic, maintaining business resiliency, meeting changing consumer and customer needs, and protecting the health and safety of its team members.
